The smartCast feature allows for three different methods to enhance the visitor's journey, such as the operator's ability to put a webpage in front of the visitor during a chat as an extension of the chat window, or automatically display the panel after a set amount of time. Visitors can also have control over this and can expand the window themselves to get more information.

How Do You Use smartCast?

smartCast's functionality can be utilised when the operator is handling a chat, and is done as follows:

1. For the call handler to open a new window on the dashboard, click on “Auto Navigation” and in the navigation window, you can either select a pre-existing link or manually copy and paste a URL into the textbox and click on “Cast ” to open a separate window beside the visitor’s dialogue form.

2. You can also set a smartCast panel to automatically appear in the HTML after a certain amount of time to keep customers entertained in the queue.

3. For a customer to open the smartCast, they can click on the ? icon in the toolbar, which is visible from the start of the chat.
