Winter is Here
The days are colder, the nights are longer, meaning winter is here. And even though we Brits don’t have the threat of a White Walker attack,we do risk missing out on good deals for a last-minute break in the winter sun.
The Telegraph has released the 25 best destinations for winter sun, have you seen an increase in enquiries about:
- Costa Rica
- Carpe Verde
- Gran Canaria
- Baja California
- Essaouira, Morocco
- St Lucia
- Rio de Janeiro
- Sri Lanka
- Abu Dhabi
- Yucatan Peninsula
In 2016, ABTA reported that three in ten people (29%) had planned to take a winter break, Out of those three in ten, 25-34 year olds lead the way (36%) with the over 65s just behind with 33%.
In the latest release by the Office of National Statistics for 2015/2016 UK households are seeing an increase in disposable income.. Young adults are known to be comfortable with the use of the internet and technology, therefore booking holidays online should come naturally to them. But surprisingly it is the silver surfers (over 65’s) that have been impressing us with their growth of internet usage. Therefore, is it any wonder that these two demographics have been planning their winter sun holiday?
The top destinations have been announced, people have more money for travel plans, so how do you encourage them to purchase their winter sun activities with your company?
Improve Bookings with Live Chat Box for Website Software
When visitors enter your homepage their journey begins digitally. To help and encourage them to navigate to the correct place, a proactive promotion can be enabled to display on your website. A promotion is an image that can present your special offers, important information or latest news that proactively appears on the website in front of your visitor based on rules they had matched, e.g. hit a certain page for a minimum amount of time. A URL can be associated to the promotion, if accepted; it will automatically redirect the visitor to the designated page, opening it up in a new tab of their browser.
So how does this benefit your company trying to attract visitors to book their winter sun breaks?
Firstly, you can present a promotion that encourages the visitor to click through for information about your latest winter sun deals. This takes them to the next part in their digital journey and helps to reduce your bounce rate. It’s a win-win situation, they get information and your company website receives better stats!
When a visitor accepts the promotion, you won’t necessarily know what destination they are interested in, therefore, a central page to navigate them to would be useful, showing your top deals and links to destinations your company has offers for.
Each page can have a live chat button, that when chat is initiated can route the enquiry to the relevant experts for that destination or to a central team handling all types of enquiries, depending on how your organisation works. Your visitor then has more chance of converting as they are taken through the most appropriate options with a representative and having any question answered in real-time, giving them the confidence in their decisions.
If visitors are not initiating chats via the reactive button, similar to proactive promotions, your organisation can send an invitation based on rules matched, to ask if the visitor wants to enter chat for further information. These can be personalised depending on the page the visitor is viewing.
Live chat box for website software can help your visitors on their digital journey and encourage them to convert with your company. Winter is here, don’t delay any further, add live chat today to ensure you receive travellers’ winter sun booking rather than your competitors.
Click4Assistance has been providing live chat box for website software to the travel and tourism industry for over 10 years. For more information speak with our travel co-ordinator on 01268 524628 or email email@example.com.
If you don’t know what a White Walker is, I strongly suggest dropping everything right now and binge watching Game of Thrones!
